When: Saturday, March 24, 10:00 AM

Happy week of our Benicia “March For Our Lives”! Here are some important updates and reminders. 1. Sign Making Event - Don’t forget the “Sign Making” event taking place on Wednesday, March 21, 6 – 8 pm at Arts Benicia, 991 Tyler Street, Suite 114, Benicia in the Arsenal. If you haven’t RSVP’d on the Facebook site: https://www.facebook.com/events/174992883292873/ you can email Larnie at larniefox@gmail.com and let him know how many are coming in your group. There will be some supplies available that have been generously donated, but they could also use additional poster board, foam board and large markers if you want to donate. Please dress grubby, bring creative ideas; there will be help available. Everyone welcome. 2. Weather/Food/Beverage – We march and rally rain or shine. Forecast for a high of 58 degrees and currently sunny with no rain. We advise checking that morning to see if you need an umbrella, rain poncho, jacket, sunscreen or hat. Don’t forget to bring water/coffee with you when you are on the First Street Green. There are also great options available on First Street where you can purchase something from our great local shops. 3. Restrooms - Located at the end of the pier, the Benicia Yacht Club at 400 East 2nd St., next to the Benicia State Capitol building 115 West G St., and the Benicia City Park next to the Benicia Fire Station. 4. T-Shirts - We will have a limited amount of t-shirts available, first come first serve (no pre-orders), at the First Street Green in the morning at 9 am. $15 each, “cash only”. Exact change requested. 5. Parking/Carpooling – Carpooling is ideal when attending an event such as this. Please be mindful of public street signs and merchant signs in public/private parking lots. We suggest parking near the First Street Green and surrounding side street areas. Do not block driveways or fire hydrants. Streets will be closed when we start the march for a short time. Plan accordingly. 6. Dogs – The Benicia City Park does “not permit dogs”. We recommend leaving your best friend at home the day of the march and rally. Please share info. ****** This march and rally is to support victims of gun violence and we hope this march and rally will inspire concrete legislative outcomes and inspire voters to stand up for common sense gun laws.
